Warm the Soles is a annual donation drive that helps bring new shoes to underprivileged students in our community. Monetary donations are made by members that enable us to go shopping for new shoes for students in local schools.
Many families in our community struggle to provide important things for their children like good shoes for the cold winter months of Utah. Warm the Soles is a program that provides hundreds of pairs of shoes for local students to keep their feet dry and warm. We partner with Title 1, low income, schools in our community and we work with school administrators that help identify the students who could benefit from Warm the Soles. And then, we go shopping! Our team will individually package these new shoes and take them directly to the schools for teachers to surprise students and their families during the holiday season with new shoes.
For more than 20 years, Horizon has provided new shoes to hundreds of under-served youth in Utah. Horizon has joined with volunteers and other credit unions to ‘warm the soles’ of children and youth throughout our membership area of Davis, Weber, and Morgan counties. We are dedicated to our community and we want to thank you for helping us make the holidays a little brighter, and warmer!
